Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and High Five International, Diepestraat 2 bus B, 1640 Sint-Genesius-Rode, Belgium, for your use of Goomee. By creating an account or using the app you accept them.
1. What Goomee is
Goomee suggests restaurants, museums, events, places to stay and other experiences, and can build day-by-day itineraries. It is a discovery and planning tool. We are not the provider of the places we recommend, and we do not operate them.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Goomee. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not use Goomee for anything unlawful.
- Do not scrape, copy or resell our content, or use automated means to extract data.
- Do not attempt to break, overload or circumvent the service or its rate limits.
- Do not upload content you have no right to use, or that is unlawful or abusive.
4. Recommendations and the planner
Recommendations are suggestions, generated in part by automated ranking and, for itineraries, by AI. They may be wrong, out of date, or unsuitable for you. Opening hours, prices, availability and whether a place still exists all change without telling us.
Check anything that matters before you rely on it — particularly opening times, accessibility, dietary requirements and travel times.
5. Partners and bookings
Some links take you to partners who handle the booking. Your booking is with them, on their terms, and any cancellation, refund or complaint is a matter between you and them. We may receive a commission when you book through such a link. That commission does not change the price you pay, and it does not decide what we recommend.
6. Payment
Goomee is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features we will tell you clearly before you are charged, and nothing will start charging you without your explicit agreement. Payments, when they exist, are processed by Stripe.
7. Content you provide
Anything you add — a profile picture, saved places, trips — remains yours. You grant us only the permission we need to store it and show it back to you as part of running the service. We do not publish it or share it with other users.
8. Availability
We try to keep Goomee running and accurate, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under Belgian and EU law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for the acts of the venues and partners we recommend, or for decisions you take based on a recommendation without checking it.
10. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from the app, which ends this agreement. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
11. Governing law
Belgian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there. Disputes are otherwise subject to the courts of Brussels, Belgium.
